Firstly congratulations on doing so well with your first!!! I have a 2 year old son and my father was always telling me how he should have long been out of nappies, apparently we we're all dry by one-one and a half. I stuck to my guns and potty trained at 2yrs 4months and had no real problems. What I'm trying to say is you as a mother know the right time for your child and since your not having any problems I really don't think you have harmed her or done anything wrong at all. As for night-time nappies, I personally am going to leave it a little while until 90% of morning nappies are dry. I always take my little one to the potty before bed and try not to give him too much to drink after 6pm. Do the night-time when you are ready and your daughter is ready and well done on the progress you have made so far.

I would advise you to stop giving him milk or any other drink right before bed. Also this might help too. When you ask him if he has to go potty before bed. Bring him into the bathroom and run the tap water in the sink for a few minutes while he is at the toilet. Just let the water trickle out of the faucet. The sound will stimulate his need to go by hearing the water run. That was used on me in the hospital when I was in labor with my second son. I used that trick too when my boys were little. It really does work. Hope this helps!

Okay I can understand your frustrations if he is not using the restroom before the diaper goes on but in his defense, whats the big deal. I would make sure he goes potty before bed time so you know hes just not using the diaper to use it. If he is thirsty before bed so what, let him have his sips of milk. Since he is fully potty trained and only has night accidents I really wouldnt worry about it. I was a bed wetter until age 13 and was in diapers everynight and my 5 yr old wets the bed and he is in diapers at night. Who cares what they have under their pajamas as long as they are getting a restful nights sleep. He wont go to school in diapers.

oh hard one!r son is 3 we waited till his pull ups were more or less dry before taking them off him.like ur son his milk is also his comfort he still has it,only what we did was give him more fluids during the day and encourage him to go to the to potty before bed even if he doesnt need to just run the taps and he should go.could u buy him some pants with his fave charcter on them?ie bob or sam etc and tell him these r big boy pants for bedtime dont worry he will get there plenty of people r in the same position they just dont tell u as they like 2 pretend their kids r perfect lol.u could try slowly reducing his amount of milk as well if u want as i wudnt recommend talikng it from him as its his comfort, goodluck i hope this has helped.

I wouldn't rush him. Let him carry on with the milk and the pull up. If you think he is really waiting for the pull up then you could delay putting it on until after his milk, last thing before he goes to sleep. That way you can encourage him to use the potty rather than the pull up, and see if the pull up is still wet in the mornings after this. Apart from this, I wouldn't worry about it. Well done for getting him full potty trained and give you and your son a rest before stressing about being dry at night.
Hope this helps.

My son is fully potty trained, but wears a pullup to bed, sometimes he wakes up dry and sometimes wet, Sometimes before he goes to bed I let him know and I put big boy underwear on, and he wont wet it, but if I forget to tell him and I put underwear on he wets the bed. If he is only turning 4 I dont see the harm in leaving him in pullups for a little longer, he will eventually get the hang of it, and take him along with you when you get ready for bed, and get him into a routine, potty, teeth, washing the face, and make a game of it, then maybe he will be less likely to pee in the bed.

Well, my daughter was never dry in her diapers / pull up, and she needs a bottle of milk before sleep. One day I just asked her not to wear her diapers to sleep. So she just went to sleep without diapers.
First 2 nights she wet the bed. But we got to know what time she usu pees in bed. So since then, every night, about 1 1/2 hr after she slept, we wake her up to go pee. She wakes, sometimes with some grumbling, but falls back asleep without problem. She also remains dry throughout the night. After a while, like 1-2 months, she started waking up to go to the toilet by herself when she needed to. She still drinks a cup of milk before going to sleep. I just made sure that on days that she's extremely tired, I still wake her up to go pee, just in case she's in too deep sleep to wake and wets her bed.

No milk at bedtime...and potty before bed is a must. Try letting him wear regular undies to bed and get a waterproof pad for his bed. He may get wet for a night or two and you may some extra laundry...but he will learn why he needs to potty before bed!

this is what worked for me. 1st, make him got potty before bed, don't ask. I made that mistake many times. 2nd, put a pull-up on over his underwear. That way he is still peeing in his big boy underwear. That is what has helped my son. He didnt mind peeing in the pull-up, but there was no way he would pee in his undies. Now he just gets up in the night to go. Night training is the hardest, so good luck.
