well to burn fat, you should do cardo for at least 45 minutes a day , 3-4 times a week. you dont even start to burn fat until you are speed walking for at least 15 minutes, it takes at least that long to burn off the carbs you consumed during the last 8 hrs. by cardio, i mean get your heart rate up, break a sweat and keep your heart rate up for 45 minutes....

it absolutely can! Start with 20 minutes a day, you really don't need to do more then that. Start with just walking on an incline if you cant run, then gradually try running a quarter of a mile, half a mile, a mile a day. Side note: you also need to do two things to lose weight. One, diet. Otherwise its all pointless. you wont lose much. Second, be patient. I lost approx fifty pounds this year after deciding to lose weight as a new years resolution. however, this was over a span of eight months! Just keep working out, keep dieting, and you can lose all the weight you want.

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.
I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.
It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.
Get started today!

You're asking a somewhat contradictory question.
To lose weight quickly, you should run for an hour or two a day. Since you are not in good enough shape to do that, you're not going to lose weight fast.
Start with whatever you CAN do, and gradually get in better shape. Until then, you'll have to be satisfied with slower progress on your anti-fat campaign.

Interestingly enough, you burn the same amount of calories running a mile vrs walking a mile. So find a pace that works for you. Obviously time restraints will dictate how many miles you can run/walk.
Best advise is to ease into running. Start out with interval training.

I asked this same question to my dietician. She said 5-6 days per week, 40 minutes minimum, of fast walking (not necessarily running, I walk about 3.5 MPH).
And I would go see a nutritionist to make SURE you are eating "good". I thought I was eating "good" but I was making som serious mistakes that kept me from losing weight.
