Not really.

Rabbits and eggs are pagan fertility symbols of extreme antiquity.

Birds lay eggs and rabbits give birth to large litters in the early spring these became symbols of the rising fertility of the earth during the spring season.

Since Easter also occurs in the early spring, people brought the beloved pagan symbols into the Christian celebration of Easter.

These pagan symbols have become part of the Christian tradition. They do not take anything away from the Resurrection of Jesus Christ and they add to the celebration.

Christianity has frequently absorbed the positive and neutral elements of pagan religions while leaving the negative symbols behind, similar to Christmas trees and Halloween costumes.

With love in Christ.

The pass is a Milena older that Christ, btw. It replaced into an quite regularly occurring torture gadget for 1000's of years. I meant having a chocolate guillotine or some variety of medieval torture gadget could be in undesirable flavor, pun meant. yet that may not something new, verify out the origins of candy canes. there's a rationalization why they are shaped like a "J". that's no twist of fate.

I hope that NEVER happens that would be so sacrilegious! But the whole concept of Easter is about the rising of Christ, propaganda has again come in and added their own little thing to make a profit on what's supposed to be a Holy Day. Yes, to answer your next question, we do put out eggs and baskets for the kids but we also remind them of what the day is all about.

The little barstard is going to be DINNER if he brings a crucifix to my house.

Even if it IS chocolate.

Taking perfectly innocent chocolate and doing this is blasphemous.

What's next? Selling the "Shroud of Turin" as prayer cloth?

Peace.

No....it means the Easter Bunny knows you like chocolates. You do, don't you? Or is he wrong? The crucifix is the only thing "Christian" in your question.....but then I think you know that......you disappoint me.
