why would a good god create something that is evil?
if satan was also always there, is he not also all powerful and also a "god", if "god" is all powerful why does he not crush satan and get rid of evil if he created him?
I'll tell you f'why, because "God" does not exist, and even if he did his name is Odin.

Yahweh is not after what many think He is. He is not trying to get the world to go to church. He is not trying to 'save' everyone. He is not trying to make you understand your own question. He is making a point that He is Soverign and is worthy of worship. THEREFORE, Yes Yahweh created Satan with the understanding that he/she would do what has transpired. Isa. 45:7 attests to this fact, that Yahweh is the one that created evil. Prov 16:1 tells us He controls the hearts and minds of us all, including 'angels' and Satan too. IT is part of the plan. If one comes to understand the plan, one understands why Yahweh has done this, RATHER than sit around trying to think of reasons to accuse Yahweh of being bad, or glorifying Satan, as so many do, claiming the ability to actually trick Yahweh. Those are nothing but attacks o the Soverigenty of Yahweh. HIS plan has always been the same, it is to bring to full manifestation the vessels of honor AND the vessels of dishonor. He is the potter. To say otherwise to, at the least, be idolatous, worshipping / exalting self . . . like satan. NOW WHO DID THAT IN HIM?? WHO DOES IT IN THE VESSELS OF DISHONOR?? Yahweh is in charge.

Chrissy:)
actually God created Lucifer as one of the highest angels in the heavens. Lucifer walked in the midst of the Glory of God and was actually given much by God.

After pride came into His heart because of his own wisdom and beauty he rebelled and became Satan.
HE is also called the " devil" which comes from the greek word meaning accuser.
Satan comes from a hebrew word meaning " adversary"

An enemy is someone against another from Without.. but an adversary is an enemy from within .
Satan is both. He is also a major accuser of God and believers
Don't fall into that trap too and accuse God of things that are way beyond the human " seen" realm.

First of all, God did not create Satan. Satan, or Lucifer, had a choice to make, to follow God or to rebel against God, choosing instead to follow his own pride, thinking he knew better than God what to do here on earth. Because of his own rebellion and pride, Lucifer became Satan, the source of opposition to all good here on earth. Thus, there are two forces at work here, the force for good, represented by Christ, and the force for evil, represented by Satan.
God is not the source of all evil, that falls squarely on Lucifer, the devil, the logical consequence of his own proud ambition, to usurp God's glory for himself, being rejected as a result and ultimately will be on the losing end of the eternal destiny of this mortal existence.
Most of what happens on earth is the result of choices and the consequences thereof. Many times good people are the victims of other peoples bad choices. Such victimization is tallied by God and will be properly recompensed at judgment time.

Now there's a theory that I'm sure a lot of people haven't considered. It is the perfect solution for the "blaming" attitude of much of society. They will have someone on whom to blame everything. Did God actually "create" Satan? Or was Satan already an entity?

you are right, god did make satan. but at the time of his making he wasnt evil. he was a loving angel like the rest of them. satan chose to be evil as he thought he could be as good as god himself. he is all powerful, hasnt he taken over this world with his evilness....

at the end of time god will destroy him and all his wickedness, he is just buying time to see how many more humans will bow to satan as a god.....

make sure ur not on the list!

Sin? In Exodus 20:17 God instructions that we ought to no longer covet our neighbor's slaves, nor the rest that belongs to him. What God did no longer command right this is for all of those servants to settle for his or her freedom. So each and every so often God has some humorous regulations, and that they do no longer consistently look to coincide right away with what we planned to be the utmost achieveable morality. yet while we return on your question, and get rid of all of trimmings, you ask, "What harm does the 'sins' in Christianity reason?" Oh they have super potential to do harm! homicide is fairly undesirable, specific. yet what approximately different sins? Exodus is fantastic for sins. 22:18 Says kill each and all of the witches. Eeek. This commandment might have particularly led to some hassle if everyone stricken to study it. Oh they did? Oh hell. 22:19 is larger. Sexually abuse animals? dying penalty! See, there is superb things interior the bible! 22:25 Says do no longer charge interest while lending money. LOL! Who does God think of he's speaking to? 23:13 Says do no longer even point out the names of alternative gods. So comparitive non secular study look acceptable out. Wow on 2nd concept, this entire sin ingredient seems somewhat unusual to me.

That is such a complicated question to answer in a forum like this. Things are a lot more complex, yet a lot more simple than so many think. It begins with how we define "God" and ultimately, how we define ourselves. I found a good site, but it has so much info it is hard to navigate. Here is a good page though to get started.

God created man also but is not responsible for the evil that a man does.
The absense of light is darkness by creating light one reveals darkness.
Satan was created perfect and then fell from God.

Well God created Lucifer knowing that he would rebel and turn all evil. So yah, basically the same thing. That's only if you believe in that whole God thing.
