Laser hair removal is essentially using a laser to burn the hair off at the root.
I would recommend using Nair instead, it burns it off chemically, is cheaper and you can do your own private parts. Plus it grows in a little lighter. You might also consider waxing, but that hurts.

Private parts are done. It will be expensive and painful. Make sure you go to someone who has the laser machine that can do black hair/skin. If you get there 1 hr. early, they will give you a cream to use to soften the pain.

to find a salon in your area that participates in spa week. This way you can try it out and it won't cost you as much.
Amythys has a good idea. Have your wife shave it off. Then she can show her appreciation of your smooth back afterwards. : )

the lazor is good but expensive n to make the removal pemanit you have to go about 3 times. the lazor is just this little gun and a light comes out and the hair is removed i believe it takes a while because they do one hair at a time but id say go for it. And your wife shouldnt leave you over a hairy back because ALOT of people have hairy backs you cant help it,its just your genetics and you should sit down and talk with her

Um...tell her to go lazer her upper lip and sideburns...that sounds like a ***** to me...if you really love someone you love everything about them...to me it sounds like you need to get rid of the wife more then the hair....anywayssss about lazer hair removal it doesnt work permanently at least not in my opinion...if you have baby fine hairs it works...but if you have thick hairs what so ever it does not work...i had 3 treatments done to my arm hair...and it grew back in same exact way as it was before so i was just like **** it...and left it alone..its natural now i love it and im kinda glad it didnt work...so ya unless you get it done like 10-12 times it probably wont be gone for good...and also it works best on fair skin people with dark hair cos the lazer atteacts to darkness...if you have dark skin there is high risk of skin discoloration and trust me why risk creating a problem when there really isnt even one to begin with?...do it if you want to...but do it for yourself not for someone else....and make sure you go somewhere good and do your research...and dont go anyplace where you get a good deal that seems to good to be true...cos it probably is...good luck..

laser hair removal is awesome. it is expensive. they take a machine, that has a laser wand thing attached to it, they put it on your skin and zap it. probably shouldn't take more than half hour to do one treatment on your back.

couple things to keep in mind...dark skin can discolor with the treatment. not always but there is a risk. Be sure you look for a dermatologist with an IPL laser. It can be customized based on your skin and hair tone.

to me it feels like having a rubber band snapping on your wrist. kind of stinging, but nothing too bad.

if done improperly, can burn you and cause scabbing and infection.

i believe you can do it anywhere on your body.

it may take you 3 - 10 times to get all the hair.

EDIT - i partially agree with peace_love. I have had it done on my face and my abs on mostly dark coarse hair. and it has been permanent for nearly 5 years. peach fuzz still growing back. but she is spot on about the hyper pigmentation and the amount of times it will take. my face is probably up to 10 - 12 treatments and still not done :(

i have never been happier since having the laser treatment and would definately recommend it.

I am not positive if they do it for private parts but they will definately do your back. You just want to make sure that you go somewhere good, that you know will do a good job. They pretty much laser off each idividual hair, down to the root so it doesn't grow back fast. It is kind of expensive for big areas and you have to go back for several treatments.

Lazar hair removal works and is safe.

HOWEVER. It works by targeting the dark pigment it sees, which is why its best for people with fair skin and dark hair. If you have dark skin, it can cause hyperpigmentation (dark spots like scarring). It does not work well on people with dark skin.
