so what's the difference, I thought the old testament was where the story of creation for christians came from. Is that not the same text that the Jews use?

Books of the Torah
1. Genesis
2. Exodus
3. Leviticus
4. Numbers
5. Deuteronomy

First 5 books of the Bible
1. Genesis
2. Exodus
3. Leviticus
4. Numbers
5. Deuteronomy

doesn't seem to be much difference there

That's a pretty sweeping statement. Do you actually know what each of us realize and fail to realize?

At any rate, of course their are differences in how Jews and Christians see God. And in particular, Christians interpet the Hebrew Scriptures in light of the the New Testament, while Jews are aided in their interpretation by the Talmud and Mishsrash. This is no secret to either Jew or Christian.

But that doesn't mean there are two different Gods.

Do you realize what you are saying? Your exact phrase, "God of Creation," can only apply to the one God who is the I AM--the One who is His own cause, and who is the maker of all things. And yet you are saying that there are two.

The very most that could be said (and it's *far* more than I would say) would be that either Christians or Jews have such drastically false notions of God's attributes and of their relationship with Him that they in truth have no relationship with Him at all. But by defintion our God is One--there cannot be a Christian vs. a Hebrew God.

Okay.
So go be Jewish, then. There is a reason that Christianity is not Judaism. And before you run off talking about the Hebrew God of Creation, I suggest you read Philo of Alexandria.

authentic, the Almighty God does have a private call. that's Jehovah. It means 'He reasons to alter into'. there are a number of gods accessible....even money, between different issues, is a 'god' for some human beings. What human beings worship is their god. yet authentic Christians would desire to nicely known their writer. all of us could. If we as people created from dirt have names, shouldn't the writer of all issues have a popularity? and due to this that's Jehovah. He made his call time-honored and take place to us. which means he needs us to apply it. once you recognize one's call it makes it extra convenient to be waiting to have an in depth dating. that's why Jehovah God needs us to nicely known his very own call. that's a popularity notably different names. Psalms eighty 3:18 -- "that persons would know which you, whose call is Jehovah, You on my own are the main severe over each and every of the earth."

Now wait just a minute, I'm not going to deal with all these gods. I think someone is not a truth-teller here. Why don't we all just BELIEVE in one god. After all, we believe there even IS a god, so, ya know? Lets quit the crazy crap. One world, one god, ok? whew.

For one thing, the Bible god hardly ever said anything about Hell.

Whereas Jesus couldn't stop talking about it. Hell was one of his favorite topics.

There are a great many differences between the Bible god and Jesus, though church folks claim they are the same entity.
