Dinosaurs evolved wings.....
The wings evolved feathers (cold) ....
The feathered winged dinosaurs evolved into birds....
Birds evolved tor millions of years....
Humankind evolved brains....
Humankind bashed each other with rocks....
Caveman saw pretty bird....
Pretty bird spend lots of time with caveman and his family.....
Pretty bird has children with smaller wings....
Caveman is now in middle ages and decides to call the retarded feathered winged mutant dinosaur with small wings a chicken.

Animals were laying eggs long before there were chickens, and some of those animals eventually evolved into chickens. So, the egg came first.

If you believe in the Adam & Eve mythology. Then, God created the rooster first. Then, he mated with a Chicken created after him. Who layed the first egg. Therefore, the chicken came first. If however you are a cience buff. You would realize the premise of this question, is at its best childish and naive. And dismiss it all together.
