This event goes against the most observable fact of nature. People die, and they do not come back to life. Based upon this observable evidence the resurrection did not happen either.

By the way, if you deny the resurrection, you cannot be saved. Romans 10:8-10.

Do you see the contradiction? Or do you not really believe after all?

Mark 10:5-6
5 And Jesus answered and said unto them, For the hardness of your heart he wrote you this precept.
6 But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female.
(KJV)

Rom 1:20-21
20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
(KJV)

Rev 3:14-16
14 And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;
15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
(KJV)

You're comparing apples to oranges. The creation was a very complex process. The bibles does not go into great detail for obvious reasons. The writers of the bible would never have been able to comprehend what was being revealed to them. Whereas the resurrection was fairly simple to comprehend.....You know this is how God communicated with the writers! You know the"conversation God had with them! I beg to differ.

I agree. There are numerous logical the explanation why the Day/Age concept and the hollow concept do no longer artwork. there is not any medical or logical reason to reject a literal interpretation of Genesis. The greater present day technology discovers, the greater the theory of evolution crumbles, and the greater the Bible is corroborated.

How is that a contradiction?
That's like saying that you can't believe in the Loch Ness Monster if you don't believe in Bigfoot. The Resurrection is a long-standing Christian dogma - Creationism is not. The Resurrection is taught in Scripture that has always been accepted by Christians - Creationism is not. The Resurrection was understood literally by the early Church Fathers - Creationism was not.

Because the creation story uses allegorical language (tree of the knowledge of good and evil). The ressurection is found in historical narrative. I am not saying I disagree with the supernatural just that I interpret what is written in the form it is written in.

Those are my reasons. I do not see this as a contradiction at all.

You're entitled to your opinion.

I am a Christian. However, I believe that God is a Creator not a magician so He used evolution to create all things. I also believe that physical resurrection need not happen. Instead, we shall be given new bodies, beautiful and perfect bodies. In the case of Jesus, He already had a beautiful and perfect body so He took it with His glorified one.

I am not denying a literal creation I am simply not enforcing a personal interpretation. I stay open and allow others to come to their own conclusions. None of us were around and there is n harm in investigating different avenues of research. I repeat Jesus isn't being slapped around by honest enquiry.

I truly don't see the contradiction, and I'm not even a Christian.

There are many literal passages in the bible - Christ's feet being washed or hanging on the cross for example.

There are many passages open to interpretation - The Holy Ghost descending from heaven in the form of a dove.

One can easily deny a literal creation or accept it independently of another scripture.

I love how Christians like to pick out certain pieces of the bible to believe and call the rest stories with morals or whatever.

Like oooh we take the resurrection as literal truth, but noah's arc was just a story because there's no way it could happen like the bible tells it...

If a literal real presence of Christ in the Eucharist is "carnal' is not a literal bodily resurrection?

As mentioned before, I am a forensics geek, so I don't believe in the resurrection. As for being 'saved,' I just don't feel that's necessary. I pray to God, period. That's all I feel I need.
