No, that's can not be ture.
"Burn Powerpoint to DVD, play Powerpoint on TV with dvd player", search this on google, you'll get what you want. If you want to do this, you really need a tool somewhat like: Moyea PPT to DVD Burner, a professional solution of powerpoint to cd/dvd.
Moyea PPT to DVD Burner is the powerful program to convert and burn PowerPoint presentations to DVD with excellent quality. It can retain all the animations, transitions, audio tracks, video clips, action buttons, internal links and other options added in the presentation, and generate DVD Menus to enable you to control the playback with a DVD remote. With this program, you don't have to have a computer to do your presentations with your Powerpoint files. Just a TV and a DVD player will do the job perfectly.

Putting a Powerpoint presentation on a CD is only using the CD as a mass storage medium. It will only operate on somebody else's computer that has a CD unit and Powerpoint.

In that regard, yes, you can also store your file on a DVD and run it on another person's computer that has a DVD unit and Powerpoint. It's just a larger storage capacity.

In neither case will a Powerpoint presentation run on a standalone CD player nor DVD player.

I am sorry but you can not burn PowerPoint to DVD directly with out third party software, because PowerPoint is not MPEG-2 Video formats which you can burn to disc directly with common burning software, you need certain software to convert your PowerPoint to MPEG-2 or that software has the function of burn PowerPoint to directly

Seem that are so many suggestions when search through the website. But,
if you use this tool, I believe this process can be a Piece of cake
Besides, you can make your DVD menu, so you can control the Playing after converting.

You'll have to use a computer... the DVD format will read it just like a data file. There's no 'magic' that converts a powerpoint into a playable movie.

Hi,

This is easier on a Mac than on Windows.

On Mac use File > Make Movie. Open the movie file in QuickTime Pro and then File > Save As and choose QuickTime Movie format.

Put the movie into iDVD, then click the Burn button. Pop a blank DVD into the computer and you're all done!

No you won't be able to player on a regular DVD player. You need to convert it to a compatible format in order to play it on regualr DVD. Here's one of those utilities to convert it. It's a shareware.

What I do is I keep it as a PowerPoint coach, then burn it with Nero. remember, you may desire to burn it, no longer in basic terms to repeat and paste the document to the cd. In nero i think of, once you insert a sparkling disc, it would ask you in case you may desire to make an audio cd, video cd, or a document disc. (something like that) % the single that asserts VIDEO.
