Every dog will train at their own speed; unfortunately for you.
The most import thing is that you really donate the TIME to keep a close watch on them.
Their bladders are very small and need to go out often. At least once an hour. Have a key word for going out. Our's is "lets check the back" which means were are all going to the back yard and do our business. That is better than saying lets go pee. Keep a close watch on them. If you see them acting like they might be about to squat or hike, make an abrupt noise or a whistle to get their attention and grab them and go outside immediately. I don't like to paper train because later they will pee on any paper left in the floor because you taught them to do that. I hope you are not up-stairs in the apartment.
If you have to you can train them to one of those pads you buy at the pet stores for now and move the pad outside and later just do away with the pad.
Wash any area that they do use, so you remove any smell. So that spot doesn’t attract them back. Don't scold them or hit them, they did what nature intended and they have to learn where the proper place it and that's your job. Don't rub their noses in the spot that is certainly going to teach them to go out side....yea.!
The most important thing is to be consistant and very watchful.
Some people will crate train. Keep them in the crate and let out to play in the yard and then return to the crate. It could take several days to 2 weeks before they get the idea that outside is to pee. But remember they cannot open that door because the handle is too high....so if they pee in the house it is your fault not theirs.
Another big item that it would help is if your family is on the same page and will help with the training. If you have to train, do the housework and fight with everyone else, it is not going to be a good 2 weeks. Talk with family member and request their help. Small dogs who are absolutely obnoxious can learn as long as you and your family establish yourself as the alpha of the pack and don't let the "cute" little guys run you

I'm cutting and pasting because I've answered this so many times, but I'm telling you it's worth the effort. I've trained 3 puppies and learned along the way what works.
First of all - kennel train your dog. Use wee pads if you're comfortable with them. Here's how to wee pad train - dog sleeps in kennel or gated area just big enough for his bed and a wee pad. Dogs will not pee in their beds. They will go on the wee pad. Then start leaving a wee pad available in the house while he's awake. He should eventually start using it.
Here's how to train him to go outside - TAKE HIM OUT A LOT! I'm talking every single hour. Bring little treats with you. When he eliminates, he gets a treat. Simple, really. If he doesn't go when you take him out, put him in his kennel for 20 minutes, then take him outside again. If he goes, reward and playtime in the house. If he doesn't, another 20 minutes in the kennel, and so on. The idea is to teach your puppy that he has to earn playtime by going to the bathroom outside.
If you take your dog outside every hour, and have him sleep in a kennel with a bed and wee pad, he'll be trained in a month with very limited accidents. This worked for the 3 puppies I've trained.
GOOD LUCK!

House Training Rule Number One: This is The Most Important Rule – If you don't catch your puppy doing it - then don't punish him for it!
House Training Rule Number Two: Praise your puppy when things go right. Don't let this be a situation where your only action is saying "No" when they are caught in the midst of using the wrong area. If they do it right – let them know!

I have a yello labrador. First, i would teach her the 4 basic commandments. sit, stay, come and sit down. Bring her once or twice a day to the park, (maybe once on weekdays and twice on weekends). Bring some bones and try teaching her and acting it out for her. Then teach her to do her buisness outside by showing her that it is not good to do it in the house. Lad down mud or something in the backyard or wood chips for her spot. Hope it helps!!

Start by taking her out every two hours and asking if she needs to go outside, that is how I trained my dog.

I have 2 labs; used bells on the door to train them. Took them to the door, took their paws, rang the bells said GOOD GIRL a bunch of times and took her outside and if she went to the bathroom, it was a HUGE deal; make over her!! She will soon get the idea that ringing the bells will get her outside to go potty! good luck!

well i have a small dog which was really hard to train. but if she pees in the house wipe it with a paper towel and then put the towel out in the yard and let her sniff it, she'll know that her scent is outside and she'll go there.
or you can get a "pee post" that you stick in your yard and she'll keep wanting to pee on the post.....
hope that helps

at 3 months a domestic dog would desire to be waiting to hold its bladder for one million hour in step with each and each month it incredibly is previous. so 3 months=3hrs 5months=5hrs till one three hundred and sixty 5 days. Take it out precise after it eats and each half-hour to an hour. domestic dogs do no longer sniff for a gap...they in basic terms bypass. quickly the domestic dog would be taught the place to bypass and you will initiate seeing a sniffing trend initiate. This takes time a sufferers. do no longer get mad on the domestic dog. Its in basic terms doing what it understand to do. in case you get mad and in the time of it outdoors it is going to initiate to think of that going out is a punishment, and not "ask" to bypass out. you ought to use the artwork NO to startle the domestic dog yet do no longer scold. What I even have completed became into to grasp a small Christmas bell down by using the floor and as quickly as I take the domestic dog out I ask "you % to bypass outdoors" and in basic terms till now I positioned her out...I rang the bell. Took a pair of month yet now, while she has to bypass out she makes use of her nostril to ring the bell and that i permit her out....it is notably cool.

Try crate training. It worked for me twice and my sister twice. This link is helpful.
