Most of the answers prove that atheism IS a religion. Amazing how angry and emotional atheists get when their religion is questioned.
I've seen a lot of "such and such Baptist hospitals", but never seen a "such and such "Atheist" hospital.
Darwin was a devout Christian? LOL
Another question was asked earlier about why a prominent atheist converted.

We I am a non-believer and it has done wonders for me. I accept reality as it is and make decisions based on real facts. I am not a slave to some book written by men pushing their own agenda such as the bible. Being a reformed Christian has allowed me to see both sides of the coin. It is a much harder road to follow but I am committed to the thinkers way as opposed to following a superstition.

Atheism gave you none of those things. Atheism isn't a religion or an organization. It is simply not believing in gods. That someone might be an atheist and still give you something worthwhile is just a bonus. If advances in science aren't enough for you, get off your butt and give yourself something.

It has helped you live the life you want. With the freedom atheism offers it should help you feel free as a bird - although perhaps a little empty deep down inside...

All right, but apart from the sanitation, the medicine, education, wine, public order, irrigation, roads, a fresh water system, and public health, what have the Romans ever done for us?

Atheism has done NONE of those things; it is simply the notion that there is no omniscient creator.
Besides the Crusades, the Inquisition, and Ted Haggard, Jimmy Swaggert, and intolerance, what has christianity done?

Who cares what it's done for you lately. Voltaire should be enough. Voltaire is one of the greatest men that ever lived.

It prevented you from asking "if Adam and Eve weren't Christians, what were they?" And getting responses like..."of course they were. They followed Christ's teachings so the were Christians"
You should be grateful this wasn't you.
