My daughter has My Little Pony galore (castle, island etc), Barbie and accessories Including the home, animals, coloring and crayons, leapfrog toys; She'll doodle and get creative and do puzzles but that's it. Once she's done, she'll lounge on the couch all day and say there is nothing to do!
She's in Gymnastics and School (only three days a week tho b/c of our wacky education system) and she's driving me nuts!!! I would of been thrilled to of gotten half these toys she has when I was younger.

My 7 year old is also hard to entertain. She also has more toys than any 7 year old needs and complains of being bored. I have gotten creative with her to some extent. If I can't take her to the library or bowling, or to the movies and I need to be at home. I usually invest in some crafty projects of some kind. She has fun being creative and she can make gifts for birthdays or holidays for others. When I have time I can join in and give her some ideas. She loves it! Winter time is the worst for the boredom.

My six year old does that from time to time. I personally think it is a phase. Does your daughter have any siblings? My daughter is my oldest. I have three other children , whom are younger then her. They seem to keep each other occupied for the most part. except for the "mom she's bugging me.." I agree when I was a kid, if I got half the stuff my kids had, I wouldn't leave the bedroom. Sometimes I think maybe kids nowadays have to much , and it doesn't allow them to use there imagination enough. Something I have created that my kids love alot and we use quite frequently is the art box. I add to it, when I have a payday. its filled with markers, crayons, glue sticks, all sorts of odds and end that they can make things with, They only get to go through it when they have done there homework , and been helpful through the week. I hope this helps. :-)

My 5 year olds favorites: Legos, Lincoln Logs, a whole bunch of plastic dinosaurs, art supplies (markers, crayons, glitter glue pens, scissors, tape, stencils, construction paper), baby dolls, jigsaw puzzles, games, cards, a basket of dress-up clothes, a hop-ball, her swingset, sidewalk chalk, books.
We try to avoid electronic toys and Barbies/Bratz - kids do seem to get bored with them quickly.
How about arranging play dates once or twice a week? Or go for a walk or bike ride, or to the library.

No kidding....my mom was big on imagination. She'd say "get outta here and go use your imagination"!!! My 4-6 year old daughters act like they are bored all the time when they have tons of toys and video games and movies. I try to get them to use their imaginations but it only last for 5 minutes and then they're bored again. I always say; if you don't want your toys then I will give them to some little girl that would love all this stuff. That gets them to play for awhile. I don't know what to do either. They drive me crazy!

Some kids love toys some kids don't. This little girl sounds like my daughter is more in to stuff that stretches the mind. Try toys that boggle . Puzzles.
The wooden one are great and leave them in a spot for her to see and watch as she becomes curious..you will be amazed.

blocks (optionally with a marble; she likes making structures into complex marble tracks); the couch pillows (which get turned into elaborate forts daily); old boxes; paper scraps; and odds and ends which get converted to practically anything; music (danced to); books; any kind of art supply; water in the sink (combine with sponges, toys that need washing, little containers of spices for potions, etc.); climbing trees or catching toads or mixing "potions" or playing on the swingset in the backyard; stuffed animals; cooking; board games; making mazes (on paper, in the leaves, in the snow); playing school or doing treasure hunts or other elaborate games with her siblings or friends. It's always more fun with a friend over....

My daughter likes to have tea parties and she also loves to sing and dance - we put a CD player in her room and put on some of her CDs, got her a toy microphone and she'll play for a long time. She also loves to play dress up - garage sales are the best for that - find old clothes and shoes CHEAP and they're a blast for her to play with!

well my little girl would be thrilled to have all of those toys . my child is six and she would rather do activity books or help cook or clean instead of playing with her toys so maybe she might want to do something like that my baby wants to learn or help mommy verses playing with other kids she gets bored really quick with toys she likes to do things that's challenging to her so i give her little tasks around the house to do and it really works she's happy and so am i.
