Tomorrow is my husbands birthday and his father and his g/f are coming over. I am going to do chicken wings in the slow cooker, but I don't know what to have with it. Maybe baked mac and cheese or order a pizza, any other ideas? Thanks!

I did ask him what he wants and he wants chicken wings and he can't decide whether he wants mac n cheese or pizza. We are really keeping it kinda simple since we are doing thanksgiving in a couple of days and steak is out of the question, we have 3 kids also so I am tryin to keep it cheap and steak for 7 people isn't so cheap. :)

I'd do the baked mac & cheese, chicken wings, popcorn shrimp, veggie tray. Keep it simple. Beer and wine for the adults.

I agree with guys, steak, potatoes, and beer.

Not only are chicken wings boring but in the slow cooker sounds gross

That can be a salmon steak, ham steak just as long as it's a big chunk of meat and never had wings

Baked Macaroni & Cheese

½ cup heavy cream
½ cup milk
3 Tbsp butter
2 Tbsp flour
1 lb. macaroni, boiled al dente, according to pkg. directions
1½ c ups yellow cheddar cheese
1½ cups Muenster cheese

Heat the milk and cream together in microwave. Melt butter in large saucepan, then add all the flour stirring constantly. Let cook for 4-5 minutes, continuing to stir. Remove from heat and add warm milk and cream while whisking -- if sauce is too thick, add a touch more milk. Add cheese to white sauce and stir. (Save a bit of cheese for the topping.) Stir sauce into macaroni and place in a buttered casserole dish. Place in 350° oven until slightly brown and bubbly on top -- 25-30 minutes.

Not Yo Mama’s Banana Pudding

2 bags Pepperidge Farm Chessmen cookies
6 to 8 bananas
2 cups milk
1 (5-oz) box instant French vanilla pudding
1 (8-oz) package cream cheese, softened
1 (14-oz) can sweetened condensed milk
1 (12-oz) container thawed Cool-Whip, or sweetened whipped cream

In a bowl, combine the milk and pudding mix and blend well using a handheld electric mixer. Using another bowl, combine the cream cheese and condensed milk together and mix until smooth. Fold the whipped topping into the cream cheese mixture. Add the cream cheese mixture to the pudding mixture and stir until well blended. Set aside.

Line the bottom of a 13x 9x 2” dish with 1 bag of cookies and layer sliced bananas on top.

Pour the mixture over the cookies and bananas and cover with the remaining cookies. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

Chicken wings are finger foods so other finger foods would go well. How about tator tots? I would also look at the veggies such as carrots, celery, califlower and broc. They go well with the dip.

Enjoy

Make some quesadillas or a BIG plate of nachos with 'the works'.

What is your husbands favorite food? Make that... helloooooo, it's HIS birthday! Ask him what he wants!

Men want beef.
Why do chicks think of pasta all the time.
Give them rare ribeyes, oven roasted potatoes a salad and plenty of beer.
