Are you in the UK? If so, you can go to court and try pleading 'exceptional hardship'.
The fact that your job is at risk is NOT considered to be 'exceptional hardship', but if, say the jobs of others may be at risk if you lose your licence, you have specific family difficulties - a handicapped child, aged parents that you have to transport about, for instance - then you MAY be in with a chance.
However, even if you manage to plead sucessfully, bear in mind that:-
a) the points remain on your licence
b) you cannot use the 'exceptional hardship' plea a second time.
That means that you cannot afford to be caught speeding again as you would automatically lose your licence.

Keep to the speed limits and drive with care. I had 2 speeding fines one I lost 3 points and the other they offered me the speed awareness course and did that course. I haven't speeded since. I wanna become a driving instructor, so it's not worth speeding and risking the points or people lives.

you can get your solicitor to inform the court that you drive for a living and in loosing your licence you will loose your job it will then be down to the judge if you keep your licence or not, usually you get to keep it but if you get one more point then yo loose it no matter what.

You can plead hardship and might just get away with it, But it is your own fault.. With being a professional driver you should thought about this much sooner. I have driven fo 60 years and have only collected one 3 point penalty in all ; that time,.. apart from parking.. And I don't crawl about like a snail either...

if you have been to court and told them that you drive for a living then they normally sympathise with you. A friend of mine had 12 points but they did not revoke his lecense because he was a lorry driver
