"for the minding of the fleash means death, but the minding of the spirit means enmity, with God."

"For through the undeserved kindness to me I tell everyone there among you not think more of himself than it is necessary to think"

"But why do you judge your brother? Or why do you also look down on your brother? For we shall all stand before the judgement seat of God"

Therefore let us not be judging one another any longer, but rather make this your decision , not to put before a brother a stumbling block or cause for tripping"

Your question of immigration directly applies to governments. It's not about enemies or the war between the mind and the flesh, or about judging your brothers. Read Rom. 13:1-7.

Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. Therefore whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves. For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to evil. Do you want to be unafraid of the authority? Do what is good, and you will have praise from the same. For he is God’s minister to you for good. But if you do evil, be afraid; for he does not bear the sword in vain; for he is God’s minister, an avenger to execute wrath on him who practices evil. Therefore you must be subject, not only because of wrath but also for conscience’ sake. For because of this you also pay taxes, for they are God’s ministers attending continually to this very thing. Render therefore to all their due: taxes to whom taxes are due, customs to whom customs, fear to whom fear, honor to whom honor. Rom. 13:1-7

It's the governments responsibility to deal with immigration. If people are illegal immigrants, then it's the governments responsibility to bring recourse for lawbreakers. Governments are put into place by God and so they have every right to enforce policies whether we agree with them or not. We're suposed to treat all people with love and if we see they despretly need something or if we can help out in some way we can. However harboring an illegal could be obstructing justice. We need to abide by what the government says even though we may not agree but because they are appointed by God. The only time we rise up is when the governments turns on God's Word.

It seems like you've answered your own question.

We must live in harmony with the laws of any nation. We have to have respect for government officials. But when the laws of men conflict with clearly stated commands of God, we must listen to the Creator.

"We must obey God as ruler rather than men." -- Acts 5:29

The history of the apostles was written by gentiles whose work is unreliable. They had not followed Jesus, plus they had much resentment toward the apostles. At lest with the gospels there are several so we can cross-check one with another.

I do not support illegal immigration. There is a right way to enter to the country and there is a wrong way. We all should try to obey laws the best we can.
