They weren't Christians since Christianity wasn't created with "the first man and woman". They would not have had a religion. Religions are created by societies and political structures.

Adding on: After reading some of these responses my head hurts. There is absolutely no way Adam and Eve could be Christians. I try to be supportive of peoples views but...Dear God! Seriously. Are you that stupid that you don't even know the story of the religion you believe in?!? They were created and dead thousands of years before Christ's birth. You do know there was an earth with people for many, many, many, many years prior to the birth of Christ? Please tell me you know this one little piece of common knowledge.

They couldn't be Christians because their time on earth predated Jesus Christ - which is the basis of Christianity. If Adam and Eve hadn't screwed up with that whole apple thing we wouldn't have Christianity - Jesus drew the short straw in heaven to come straighten us sinners out.

Technically Adam and Eve weren't christians. The word christian literally means to be Christ like. Since they walked the Earth prior to Jesus Christ walking the Earth they were not christians.

They were made in God's image. God spoke to them in the garden of Eden, so there was no need for religion.

Well, in the days of Adam and Eve, they were no Christians because there was no need for the term itself. There were no other religions to confuse it with. There were followers of God, and then there were heathens.

When FIRST put upon the Earth, they were sinners just like us. Jesus died on the cross for OUR sins. If not for Jesus, No one woulwd be able to gain salvation. Jesus came AFTER Adam & Eve. read the Bible from Begining to end, for understanding of ALL things it contains. After all, would you read a Novel starting in the middle and then go to the first page and understand it completely? NO! If you would then Your perfect and donot need to be on Earth. : )

They were beings created in the image of God.

Believers in God became established in Israel in time and the people of Israel came to named Jews. I believe this was after the tribe of Judah.

After even more time, a group of Jews believed the Messiah came in the form of Jesus Christ and from there the Christian faith arose.

Adam and Eve were God's creation. They loved Him and were accepted by Him. Christianity came in Jesus's time. Accepting Jesus is our way of being accepted by God today.
