Imagination is part of belief...or vice versa, I'm unsure as of which.
Being an atheist does not automatically disregard maintaing individual beliefs about reality in general. All atheism means is a lack of belief in a supernatural deity.
Of course, when there is evidence for a belief, it ceases to be mere belief and becomes a theory or concrete fact.

It's standard for some theists to eqivocate on the meanings of "believe" and "evidence" in order to accuse atheists of having a double standard regarding both.

I accept many bits of information every day without evidence, IF they strike me as consistent with other observable, measurable events.
If someone makes a claim I find questionable (like breaking the speed of light, travelling in time, communing with "spirits", etc.), they will need to present evidence if they want me to believe.

Absolutely not. Why would I believe in something that has no evidence? Otherwise you'd be able to make me believe theres an invisible 40 ft. bunny on left shoulder.

Lots of things. Kinda what 'belief' is all about. What's the point in believing in things I have evidence for? I have a desk in front of me, but whether I believe in it or not, the monitor isn't going to drop into my lap.

I do not personally need evidence for every little thing, that is retarded. I respect the opinions of, and evidence found, by people far more educated than me, whose work is peer reviewed and constantly challenged and renewed. Thats how reality functions.

Sure.
We're not computers, you know. All atheist means is lack of belief in deities.
(I believe in the innate goodwill of mankind, by the way. Even with evidence to the contrary.)

Yes the wind that hits my body, the love of my family, the loyalty of my friends, I know that the Creator as presented to us in the bible is false since an all loving and merciful Creator wouldn't have a flood to wipe all of his creation and the fictional story known as the book of revelation is also a contradiction of an all loving and merciful God.
