If you answered YES, then your church is NOT the church founded by Jesus Christ.

By its Christ-given authority, the Catholic Church canonized the New Testament in the late 4th century. But while He was on earth Jesus founded His Church, with Peter as the first pope. Don't believe me" Here is a list of popes:

Among the Christian churches, only the Catholic Church has existed since the time of Jesus. Every other Christian church is an offshoot of the Catholic Church. The Eastern Orthodox churches broke away from unity with the pope in 1054. The Protestant churches were established during the Reformation, which began in 1517. (Most of today’s Protestant churches are actually offshoots of the original Protestant offshoots.) Only the Catholic Church existed in the tenth century, in the fifth century, and in the first century, faithfully teaching the doctrines given by Christ to the apostles, omitting nothing.

Jesus promised, "I will build my Church and the gates of hell will not prevail against it" (Matt. 16:18). Jesus’ Church is called catholic ("universal" in Greek) because it is his gift to all people. He told his apostles to go throughout the world and make disciples of "all nations" (Matt. 28:19–20). For 2,000 years the Catholic Church has carried out this mission, preaching the good news that Christ died for all men and that he wants all of us to be members of his universal family (Gal. 3:28).

technically that's not true because Divine Tradition is in the Bible making the Catholic Church 100% Bible based.

The Catholic Church is also an off-shoot of the original church because it no longer teaches the same things, it no longer worships in the same way, it is no longer organized like the original church was, and it has adopted names that the original church was not called.

As for the Catholic Church giving us the Bible, this is not true! The New Testament writing was completed before 100 AD. Just because the Catholic Church recognized it in the forth century, that did not make it the Word of God! It was already the word of God before that!

The Bible is the Word of God because the Holy Spirit inspired Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Paul, Peter, and Jude as they wrote! This would make it God’s word even if the Catholic Church never recognized it as such! The fourth century is too late.

In fact, the Catholic Church, instead of giving the Bible to the world, tried for years to keep it away from the public. The official position was that the Word of God was not for the common man, but the church should tell them what to believe.

In contrast to this, the Apostle Paul says, "Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ". (Ephesians 3:4) "Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God". (Romans 10:17)

No, mine is Earth based. I believe the original sin is just a means of controlling the masses into believing they are guilty of something they didn't do.

To read from my book, go outside and feel the sun on your face; hear the song of a bird; taste the water from a fresh spring; smell the fresh flowers on a Spring day; and see the full moon on a clear Winter's night.

Wiccans do not believe that we must beg for forgiveness for something we didn't do. We believe that we must forgive ourselves and make amends if we wrong someone else. We assume responsibility for our actions instead of just saying, "I'm sorry" to an idol in a building.

I wonder why, in a culture where so few people call on the name of the Lord Jesus as their savior, and even fewer people read the bible, you would choose to nitpick over this instead of bringing the gospel to people who are lost and dying in their sins.

I just don't get it...
