I'll get a check on Jan. 10 for work that I did Dec 15-31. Will that go on 2007 income, or 2008, for IRS?

If it is a paycheck, it will go on your 2008 tax return.

If you are a business, it depends on your accounting method.

It'll go on the year that the check is dated.
