So I'm 21 years old working for a company that I hate. I'm sleeping on my brothers couch with no rent bills and still wind up broke every month just from all the debt I've been able to build up in 3 years. I've tried to get a better job but unfortunately I have no college to back me up and I only have a GED. I would go to school but that costs way too much (kinda ironic how you need school to get a good job but you need a good job to go to school). So anyways... I'm not really expecting any answers on this one.. just thought I would get some stuff off my mind.

Well, what do you spend your money on besides trying to pay off your debt? Ok, try to pay off all your debt asap....you're lucky you don't even have to pay for rent! This is a good opportunity for you to try to save some $$$! If you hate your job, go find another one. Go to temp agencies. A GED is equivalent to a high school diploma and it's better than nothing and I know some people who got good jobs with only a h.s. diploma.....I also know people who graduated from college who don't even work in their field or who has a hard time finding a job they like.......you can apply for a grant or loan to go to a community college and go into a program that interests you or if you're not sure what you wanna do then just take general courses......they have counselors in every school so if you're not sure just talk to them.......write down where your money goes each month on a notebook so you can see where it goes.....if it goes to something you absolutely don't need and can live without, then cut back on it......for example, movies, dinners out, shopping, clubbing, drinks, etc. Try to cook meals at home and save $......rent a movie instead.....cut back on drinks.....or make your own at home......don't worry, you're not the only one who thinks your life sucks......I'm sure a lot of us feel the same way.....I know I do.......but I'm trying to get back on my feet......make sure your obligatory bills come first.....like let's say rent, electricity, car payments, credit card, phone, gas, etc. Try to put a little bit away on each paycheck you get and it will accumulate later......try to put like $25.00 away each paycheck into savings....hope this helps a little! Good luck........

Sorry man, I know how it is. I am in a very similar situation. It sucks that you need school to get a better job and more money and you need money for school. It's a vicious circle. Maybe you could look into student loans. I know it's not the best option but it's the best I can come up with, sorry.
