If I want to, can I still continue doing whatever I enjoyed doing here on Earth while I'm there in Heaven? People say that Heaven is better, you'll only want to serve God and do nothing else, blah, blah, blah. BUT WHAT IF I still have my interests and desires that I had here on Earth and I want to continue doing them instead of just serving God all the time?
I really hope I don't change into something else because I like who I am right now and want to keep my interests and desires and be able to continue them there.

I'm fairly certain that you can masturbate in Heaven, too.

The way I see it, IF any of your "earthly" interests and desires follow you to heaven, you will be able to pursue them...if you can't do those things in heaven, you won't want them when you get there and you won't even notice the absence.

Sounds like you have a problem with the idea of serving God...but have you considered that doing at least some if not many of the things you enjoy doing now...things that make use of your God-given talents...ARE serving him? Service doesn't always mean menial labor...serving God means using your talents and abilities to glorify him...and I know people that do that on earth by skiing, playing football/basketball, rock climbing, running, teaching, painting, writing, and yes, even waiting tables in a restaurant! My greatest earthly pleasure is spending time with my son...and I know this also serves God's purpose!

I would suggest that if you're putting your "earthly pleasures" before serving God here on earth, you may not need to worry about what heaven is like! Fortunately, we can all serve God in many ways here on earth and derive great pleasure from doing so. Those are the only earthly pleasures that really matter!

God never creates an appetite without the fulfillment for that appetite. We have an appetite for food. God made food to satisfy that appetite. We have other natural appetites and God has provided a right way to nurture those appetites. There will be no marriage in Heaven, so we will not have an appetite for it. Why don't you start serving God now and enjoy it. That way when you get to Heaven, it wont be such a drastic change.

Hey I don't think you have anything to worry about. God is the source of everything that is good, and in God's presence (heaven) there will only be good. Whatever you enjoy doing now, I think you'll enjoy doing it in heaven a hundred times more. There's more than a few ways to praise God. I believe that enjoying the things he gave us to enjoy makes him very happy.

Try Jehovah's Witness faith. That belief is that heaven is going to be right here on Earth.

It won't happen. If you go to heaven, all you will want to do is worship Jesus the Lamb and God the Father.
