Because God would rather let suffering and sin in the world for thousands of years to ensure he had sincere love and not "robots" following him.

The concept of original sin does not exist. It's been wrongly passed around by churches. God has a limitation to His power in that He cannot create a spiritually perfect being. The being has a spirit but has to mature to perfection. The best way to do this via obedience to God and learning lessons. Adam and Eve were tested for their obedience, not because God wanted to trick them as so many, many people have wrongly assumed. Remember what happened before Adam and Eve, a big war in Heaven from a disobedient and greedy angel named Lucifer. He wasn't satisfied with being in charge of the earth. He wanted everything, to include God's throne. Like the angels, humans have free moral agency to obey God, disobey God or to rebel. Rebelling often is more trouble than its worth. So who's going to get to be in charge of the Earth? Christ. He passed the obedience test.

This reminds me of a quote by Brecht, made on the occasion of the East Berlin riots of 1953, when the government had been dissolved by the party and scheduled new elections to assure a more pliable parliament:

"Would it not be easier to dissolve the people and elect another?"

I must admit that god is not very time efficient. he should have flooded the garden of eden and let the sexy love monkey atheists jump in the ark at that time, all the while nailing his son to the side of the ark and sending some horsemen from out of the sky to kill whoever was left and send them to eternal torment right away. god, nope, not time efficient at all.

Makes you wonder, since "god" was the first voyeur. You'd think someone into watching would like a group activity better.

Peace.

Eve was the 1st and only woman for Adam. God told Adam and Eve to be fruitful and multiply.

God gave us the gift of choice. i don't know about you...but i would rather have free will than be a robot.

The 'people' you are speaking of are robots. Robots that cannot chose for themselves cannot love or be loved, only controlled.

God wants ppl to love him of their own free will.
He has the power to create mindless robots that will love him ... but it's not the same as someone of their own free will totally, freely, in full faith loving you.

He gave man a choice. If he did not sin you would not exist right now.
