Yes, I do believe prayer is powerful - because in that moment, I am in conversation with the Creator of the Universe, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. When I think of how powerful God is, and that He wants me to speak to Him...yes, prayer is powerful. And yes, I do want to pray for your cousin, and ask our Lord, the Greatest Physician, to lay His healing upon your cousin. I will also ask Him to give wisdom and guidance to all the medical staff involved with your cousin. And not to forget the family, I will also ask God to wrap His arms of comfort around each of you, and give you all, the strength needed to endure this time in your lives.

I believe in the power of prayer... but let me leave you with this... just because God doesn't answer your prayer the way you would like or they way you want doesn't mean he doesn;t answer you... Sometimes God Says No.... i lost a brother due to being crushed to death by a dump truck... i prayed for god to let him live... he didn't and later i knew that he wouldn't lead the life God would want him to... So We i will pray the lord's will be done... And I personally believe in my prayers and what ever the outcome, God Knows best.... Your and his family is also in my prayers

Prayers are the superstitious notions of disbelievers to some; but to me, prayers are the most powerful source of consolation and hope to those in the most tragic situations.

I offer my rosary tonight to your cousin's recovery.
