You know how some charities put drop off bins to accept used clothes, well do you think more people would donate can goods for the food pantries if they would do the same?

Someone did that in my neighborhood. She put paper bags like the ones you used to get at grocery stores on everyone's porch with a little note saying she would be collecting them at 5:00 PM on Wednesday to donate to a local food bank. I think it will work really well. We already stocked ours and left it on the porch for her to pick up.

I think it would work. As long as people don't just drop off canned mushrooms and split pea soup. Seems like people just clean out the stuff they don't want.

That's a fantastic idea, specially at the grocery store.
