I've been told that I have swelling inside my bones and that's why I've been in so much pain these days. I have Avascular necrosis where your bone dies and you eventually have to have joint replacements. I have had 2. This is so painful I just have to sit down and cry! The xrays and MRIs state that there's nothing wrong really, with the bone but I know that there has to be cuz I've felt this pain before. My GP I think, is going to set me back up with my orthopod. Any thoughts about swelling inside of bones would be VERY helpful. I know all about AVN but never heard of internal bone swelling! Help please!?!?!?!

Swelling can sometimes be a symptom of arthritis as well. I would recommend asking for a consultation with a rheumatologist too. A rheumatologist is a doctor that diagnoses and treats diseases and conditions of the bones and joints and they can try to help you figure out if arthritis might be playing in to some of this.
