Okay first - i understand where all these older people are coming from - but listen to me.
I lost mine when I just turned 15 - and I do not regret it. It was with a guy I really liked. A lot of people have been telling you that you shouldnt have this on your mind at this age, well screw them. Guys are most likely all you ever think about right now (that was with me, and still is and im in highschool now) so why not think about sex? I mean at least if you think about it then you will be smart enough to use protection when the time comes.
Just remember - if you have sex DO NOT TELL THE WHOLE WORLD!! (or at least your school) its one thing if you tell people you TRUST but remember even if someone is your friend, think about if you ever get in a fight with them. Luckily I got in a fight with my "bff" the day i lost mine, so I didnt have to worry about blabing it to her. The whole school already knows (really i dont care) but if I would have told her, then my parents would have found out. So be careful who tell.
But still people say sex is a bad thing, its not! It really isnt. You just have to be careful and dont be stupid about it. Think about it before you do it, talk to your bf, dont do it out of the bush, and dont do it because you are presured to it. Thats dumb. If someone says your a puss of whatever for not doing it just be like im not stupid and walk away. If you ever need someone to talk to about it email me at graybaby123321@aim.com or something. I will be glad to talk about it..

I don't think that your mum exactly "waited" by not having sex until 16. Personally I think that's a little young. You should never feel pressured into doing it. You should wait until you meet someone you love. I also don't agree with waiting until marriage either. But I do think you should wait until your mature enough to handle both the sex and the consequences of making such a decision. It's a real shame that peer pressure is such a factor in this decision. When I was in school I didn't have such pressures. I wonder if times have changed or if I just had a more appropriate group of friends. As for an age...I definitely think that no child (emphasis on child) in high school or younger should be having sex. So I guess 18 is the absolute youngest. Preferably older.

Baby girl, you need to focus on other things than sex at this point in your life. Having sex at too young of an age highly increases the chances that you will ruin your potential with a baby on the way or some sort of STD. Go to the mall!! Get on the computer and find some things you like to do. Do anything but give into the pressures of society. Sex is best when you really know yourself. At 13, you have no idea who you are yet, life is just starting. Be good and give yourself a fair chance.

Everyone is mature at different times.
It's illegal if you're under sixteen.
The average age for a girl to lose her virginity is seventeen.
I waited until I was eighteen, but I had boyfriends and I "fooled around" from about age fourteen or fifteen.
Whatever age feels right for you.
Seriously, it's a question of maturity, and some people are still immature well into their twenties! But most mature in and around age sixteen or seventeen I think.

well, I admire where you stand on the subject I wish I would have said no, but can't change the past can i?
Anyway, I would say that 14 is a bit too young still, and 15 I guess I could say It'd be an OK age, if the people think they are ready.
16 and 17, however, if you feel ready then ya.
however, it is best that you wait until you are married.

You are thinking straight and really mature. You are very right, there's not that big of deal to just do it for pressure, or lose it with just anyone. There's nothing wrong with waiting, it's even better because it makes it all worth it.

The best age to have sex? When you're married.
Why do you say you aren't going to wait until you're married?
You act like there is a certain age when somehow you will be better able to deal with the consequences (STD, loss of relationship that has been sexual, etc) but in reality, these consequences can be devastating no matter what your age. That's why it is so appropriate to have just inside of marriage. These consequences are not there!!!

Best wishes.

sex is great it really is but its more meaningful when you get older. i have cousins who are 13 and they keep asking me all the time about sex. i try and tell them the good and bad about having sex at their age what i am confused about is why our younger generation wants to know and have sex really bad? i say wait untill you are older and little bit wiser and when you meet someone who truly cares about you and is not using you then you should have a special relationship with that someone but i say at least 18 years old.

most young adults dont even know enough about safely having sex. you're 13? wait. educate yourself. There are a lot of good government health websites out there so you can make an educated decision, later on. You're setting yourself up for disaster having sex that young.
