Um, not that I own this society that I live in. Just in case you didn't notice, there are more Muslims in the world then Christians. My guess is also that there are more religion practicing Athiests then there are religion practicing Christians. By that I mean that to be a true Athiest you have to practice a particular regiment and following. That turns that particular belief into a religion. Final proof will be when Christ returns. Nothing more or less. My guess is that more Athiests turn Christian in their last few moments of life then people would believe. Again, it is just my opinion, but I don't think anyone can prove me right, nor wrong.

The mafia (cosa nostra) is a name that generally refers to organized crime syndicates that come from Sicily but have operated in the US for much of the 20th Century. These Italian immigrants and their descendants tend to be devoutly Catholic (not Atheist) despite their propensity for violence.
This label makes no sense. Atheist Mafia. It's as logical as Atheist Archdioses.
To answer the question, Atheists have yet to infiltrate society to the extent that they ultimately will. In the future, American society (I assume this is what you're referring to) will become more secularized, and logical Americans will rebel against a theocratic government that continually attempts to hold all citizens to the standards of one religious group.
I'm not sure why we're all comparing jobs, but I'm a full-time English instructor at a university in the Midwest.

I work as a cashier for a major national retail corporation that you've probably heard of and I'm also a college student.
Unlike all the rest of you, who seem to actually contribute to society.

I'm a professor at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Va. My place in society? I get a big paycheck, I have a big house and a nice car, but I'm not involved in the community.
Lots of people know who I am, but nobody's ever like, "Hey! Oh my God! I saw you on the History Channel last night! Give me your autograph!" In fact, that's never, ever happened. It'd actually be nice.

I've already told my family about it.
They rolled their eyes at me.
It was an eyeroll of paralyzing fear, I could tell.
Oh, and I'm a secretary in an office for a major insurance company. That's only part time, though. The rest of the time, I'm a stay-at-home mom.

I can't wait to see the look on my mother's face when I wear my "Atheist Mafia Vile Temptress" shirt on Thanksgiving *evil laugh*

There is no atheist mafia, it is the religions that are organized into mafia like organizations. Heck, they have great power in the real mafia!
