Legal immigrants? The same challenges all immigrants face. Language, finding work, housing, schooling, but they pay their taxes and contribute to society. Illegal aliens? They get everything free. Oh, yes, some will say they do pay their taxes. They don't need an ss# for that, all they need is an itin card. The ones who pay taxes are the proverbial needle in a haystack.

Some legal immigrants have a problem with language , customs , strange foods , inability to find foods and other things that they are accustomed to . Strange holiday celebrations , etc .
Illegal immigrants are law breakers . They have many problems .

Language would be the first big challenge. Even if they have a good grasp of the language we have many sayings etc. that are hard for someone to learn what we mean. I had to explain what Pot calling kettle black was a couple of times.

Then there's customs. My mom from Denmark thinks people here eat like cavemen. Grasping the fork in a fist. No no no you hold the fork in your left hand and a knife in your right and the tines ALWAYS face down! Silly things really but different none the less.

not many since they do not have many responsibilities of paying property tax, hospital tax, school tax like I do. They are free in many cases to drive around without drivers license or car insurance. They are allowed to send all their cash via wire to mexico without being taxed. I had to take my children out of a public school since it was 85% hispanic in Texas and place her in a private school and the emphasis was more on learning the illegal kids enough english to do the school work. The elementary school went from 75% anglso, 20% black to 85% hispanic in just three years so I guess the border patrol was asleep those years. We are really in a desperate situation in Texas and you folks up North get ready because its coming your way, soon.

Depends if you are legal or illegal.

Legal immigrants will have no problem with avoiding problems with the law.

If they're illegal immigrants they don't face many problems at all 'cause we immediately put 'em on a gravy train...health care, free education, find jobs, ad nauseum.
