It has nothing to do with weight or color. I have a fluffy gray one that is dumb as a post, but the biggest lover.

It may just be that the cat doesn't like you
or your doing something wrong
or.. its just to lazy because it's 22lbs!

and they're smart as HELL

Because the owner thinks inside the box and doesn't adapt to the condition and level of the pet they have?
BIG cats are laid back usually, if you confuse this with stupidity, you may not be paying attention to the cat enough to actually have a clear picture of who he is.

my grandmas cat is over that and he is black and very dumb. he's a chicken too, lol.

cats aren't usually the most intelligent creatures anyways.. they are just loveable...
get a dog if you want intelligent
