I am working on a project for political science, and I am searching for ideas from knowledgable breastfeeding mamas.

Besides the outright health benefits of breastfeeding, how do all those benefits translate into the social and political well-being?

at the moment i am also searching on the net for websites related to this but your help would be great!

thanks

La Leche League is a great source of information. The links below might help you out.

Ecological : no throwing anything in the dumpster
Economical : even the poor mommies can
+ : no using animals to provide, which means no cow is being "drugged" with hormones to get the more milk out of her because of your baby ;)

social: desexualizes breasts and builds awareness as to their biological function

political/economical: challenges the money-grubbing lobbyists who wish to market off of chemically-processed, over-priced formula.
