I reccomend a break in period of about 100 hours before any serious gaming on it. Just leave the set on with some sort of picture without static images for that time period. A lot of people leave it on a snowy channel overnight which speeds up the process. Also during this, keep the contrast and brightness down to about half.
Plasmas have gotten a lot better and have many ways of clearing away screen burn in if you do get it. Once the TV is broken in though you should have no problem playing games for long sessions without getting burn in.
Also note that plasmas last just as long as LCDs and having the screen at a tilt will not ruin it. Sop perpetuating rumors and learn facts before you write something, especially when giving someone information.

Plasma HD TVs do not have long life. You can play xbox 360 on plasma. It is suppose to have a lot better color and images. But you can spend less on a LCD and you really can't tell too much on the image quality.
Good luck.

yes of course-it's what they were designed for!-to display all HD sources. there are factors to look out for like burn-in but most of the newer sets have anti-image retention circuitry built into their models so with a bit of care and observation of the owners manual this annoying gremlin has become all but none-existent. most good quality plasma's have a lifespan of between 12 and 17 years if looked after (this applies to the PDP). in most native HD gaming consoles the image dims after a certain degree of time and most programmers cater for the HD market.

yeah you can play video games on it but LCD tv's last longer and have less of chance of getting burn-in. and be sure not to tilt your plasma tv cause if you shake up the plasma in it your tv will be messed up FOREVER!!!!! have fun!

Plasma very nice but you'll probably have image burn in's in your screen before too long. Personally I wouldnt risk it cos you cant get rid of it.

you can, but be careful not to leave the game paused for a long time, even for 10 minues.
if you're not playing the game take, ststem off or just take the TV off.
