She hasn't gone #2 in 2 days. I would oviously cut the suppository down to a smaller size. She won't drink juices or anything other than milk or water, and she's in this phase where she hardly eats anything I give her, so having her eat or drink something that will get her to go #2 will not work.

If it has only been 2 days I wouldn't worry. If you really want to give her one, they have infant ones. I would use those. I gave them to my 6 week old baby!

My dr. told me to use the child suppositories. I have been breaking them in 1/2 since they were babies. I don't know at what age they could have a whole one. Ask your pediatrician what they would recommend first. Even though it's only been 2 days, I know how awful it is to have a little one that needs to go. You just want to help them anyway you can. Hope she's better soon.

Not going # 2 for a few days is nothing to be concerned about. Try giving her something new to eat that has a little more fiber. Try beans (overcook them and then smash them up) - they are healthy and delicious.

Avoid giving the suppository - but if you insist, you should call your doctor before giving it.

Of course you can - and if you get the 1 gram infant size you won't have to cut it down.
They're the most effective and least damaging/addictive remedy out there - if there are no other symptoms but your girl hasn't done excrement for a few days, they're the first thing to reach for.

They have them that are safe for infants that don't have to be cut down. My son was a preemie and was constipated for his first 6 months and his doctor gave me the OK to use them on him. Call your child's doctor. You could try giving undiluted juice, like apple juice, or prune juice (Just stick close to home the next couple of days). For the person that suggested that it is sodomy. You are COMPLETELY IGNORANT. omg I can't believe that you actually said that. I hope you never have kids. IT can be dangerous for a child to be constipated and not get it taken care of.

You can give her milk of magnesia about 1/2-1 tablespoons worth. If this continues she may have chronic constipation like my 3 year old. Its very common Google it to see what other parents are doing.

Edit: But of course you should ask a doctor before doing any of this.

There are glycerin suppositories that are made for children.
Before you do anything, though, talk to her doctor. A suppository might not be recommended after only 2 days.

I whole hardy agree with Empress Jane and Catherine E responses.
There may be something else going on with the toddler. Absoutely consult the doctor. I know the #1 question, have you taken the toddler temp?
