My girl sheds like crazy!!!! Not sure if I am using the wrong brush and/or not brushing her enough?????? I believe her coat is more like a labs coat....any suggestions is greatly appreciated!

The Kong Zoom Groom is by far my favorite brush! It works wonders and is only about 8 bucks.

I use a double sided brush on my APBT. One side is a pin brush and the other side is a soft bristle brush. This is not enough to decrease shedding though. In addition to the brushing, I feed her a good diet and bathe her in an oatmeal and aloe shampoo or a homemade shampoo of my own. She gets supplements for skin and coat in her food, like Brewer's Yeast sprinkled on top and a Vet approved capsule containing fish and flaxseed oil.
When I bathe her, I use a bathing mitt that grabs loose hair and that helps as well. She has a very healthy coat with much less shedding.

Hmmmm...what kind of brush are you using? I believe slicker brushes work better for slightly more longhaired dogs, but my neighbor's corgi seems to love it. And some dogs just shed a lot naturally, the more you brush the more she'll shed. I wait for hair to accumulate, say, over a day, and then brush him. (little sheltie.) I find it works better that way because that way you won't have hair all over the place, but one big ball a day you can just throw away. Hope it helps!
