Leviticus 19:33-34
"When a stranger sojourns with you in your land, you shall not do him wrong. You shall treat the stranger who sojourns with you as the native among you, and you shall love him as yourself, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your G-d.

I guess you got all the answers subjec to law and order and church and state differences.
Since you enter the question on a religious theme, it would be only fair to apply the reasoning of that to all the other religions of the world.
I don't know for sure but I wonder if your thoughts would carry water in other religions?
How about the radical Islamist that suggest that all the non believers or infidels should be put to death?
Your thoughts are sweet but not realistic to the way the world is. The world is still competing with each other, lopping the heads off of those that disagree (in some areas) and discriminating against all those that can't, won't or shouldn't defend their positions and what they do, otherwise.
Like those that break one nation's law, and come here illegally.
It violates the laws of your God too.
You just didnt put that part in.

Question: "How does God view illegal immigration?"
Answer: Romans 13:1-7 makes it abundantly clear that God expects us to obey the laws of the government. The ONLY exception to this is when a law of the government forces you to disobey a command of God (Acts 5:29). Illegal immigration is the breaking of a governmental law. There is nothing in Scripture that would contradict with obeying immigration laws. Therefore, it is a sin, rebellion against God, to illegally immigrate into another country. Romans 13:1-7 also gives the government the authority to punish lawbreakers, whether it be by deportation or imprisonment (in the cases of illegal immigration), or more severe penalties for greater crimes.
The vast majority of illegal immigrants in the United States have immigrated for the purpose of having a better life, providing for their families, and escaping from poverty. These are good goals and motivations. However, these reasons do not give a person the right to break a law. Those seeking to immigrate to the United States (or any other country), should obey the immigration laws of that country. While this will cause delays and frustrations, again, these reasons do not give a person the right to break a law.
What should the United States government do with all the illegal immigrants that are currently in the country? For the most part, this is not a Biblical question. The Bible does not command how governments should respond to every type of illegal action. The United States government has the right and authority to do as it sees fit, whether that be deporting millions of people, or granting them amnesty. Deporting millions of people is likely not a reasonable, or workable policy. At the same time, mass amnesty is completely unfair to those who are respecting the laws of our country by "waiting in line" to immigrate to the United States.
The best policy would seem to be the following: (1) Create an immigration program that is fair, organized, and expedient. If people did not have to wait unreasonable amounts of time to immigrate to the United States, there would be no illegal immigration. (2) Require all current illegal immigrants to register with the government, and begin the process of becoming legal immigrants, guest workers, and/or U.S. citizens. This registration process should include some sort of fine or fee, so there is some degree of "punishment" for having illegally immigrated into the country. (3) Deport all those who refuse to participate in this registration process. (4) Secure the borders to prevent further illegal immigration, especially of criminals and/or terrorists.

I don't! But in my archives of old answers to questions like these I have saved great answers. I only wish that I had also saved the names of who posted them back then.
1. Personally....I'm waiting on where it gets to whoever has the biggest club wins. They are just searching for ANY excuse and any statement that will somehow validate their cause. I mean they want to dismiss law...they want to dismiss whoever WON the war...whoever signed the treaty....anything. One of my favorite bible stories is the story of Ruth. To think that God who wrote the 10 commandments didn't have some respect for the laws.....or to tell the Jews exactly the boundries of the Promised Land.....and TO think boundries aren't Christian.....is a joke. There were boundries and laws from day one. Right down to don't pick the darn apple to being thrown out of the garden of Eden for breaking the LAW.
I don't care what law. Even the Angels have a heirachy and there are RULES. Good, bad right and wrong.
Suffering....being poor....none of those things were an excuse for Earthly disobedience of laws....or an excuse for taking.
I mean isn't the hope of the Bible for the life here after? Not utopia here on Earth?
***************************
2. Your statement is great except for one little thing. The bible tells you to obey the laws of the land. I guess I missed the passage where God made the illegal aliens exempt from law.
****************************
3. Who's obeying laws? You want us to obey laws when our laws are not obeyed by illegal immigrants? Wow what a double standard?
If you want to get technical about it ONLY the baby is legally here. Should we deport the parents, but leave the baby? They (parents) are breaking the laws that you want us to honor...
Who gets to pick the laws that are obeyed and the laws that we toss aside?
**********************
My answer though... Anyone who has studied many bibles such as I have would be able to know which bible these verses you chose were from. Christian (Catholic) or King James Version. And within both of those bibles it also tells of how one-third of "Gods" Angels disobeyed "His" laws because of "Satan". It also tells of how "God" is punishing that one-third of "His" angels for that disobedience.
So picking and choosing certain verses to use for any argument regarding illegals is just wrong. Reading the whole of each of those bibles from cover to cover, not only gives one an insight to religions and their beliefs. But also tells one why the laws are there, and the purposes of those laws, as well as the punishments for disobeying those laws.

This is a clear case of the "state" being seperate from the "church".
We do, BTW,
1.subject ourselves to higher authority. That authority ultimately rests in God but He has given power to us, the people, to govern ourselves. That's what the U.S.A. is all about.
2. non sequitur
3. non sequitur
4. non sequitur
5. Church/state seperation again
6. we do that. That's why we did not go blow up 3000 civilians in Baghdad on 9/12/01
7. We do that. That's what the free food exports are all about.
8. non sequitur
9. non sequitur
10. non sequitur
11. non sequitur
12. non sequitur
13. non sequitur
14. non sequitur
15. non sequitur
16. This is from the Jewish law of Jubilee. non sequitur
17. ditto 16
As for your point # 1, it is _they_, the illegal immigrants who are not subjecting themselves to higher authority. Now who is in the wrong?

This verse can be applied to an array of issues or ideas and is broad in a sense. Its telling you that nothing belongs any one person but to everyone as a whole. Thus, including illegal immigrants, and minorities, and etc.. This verse can cover many topics.

If you believe in that then please let me have your land and possessions because that's what god is telling you to do. Since I don't interpret it the same way I'll just keep your stuff.
