Okay; you did it again. I was going to post a ? "Do you truly try to love everyone?" but you've got it down already. Was thinking how using God's love in our life to express love to others, but realizing how hard it can be. I find myself just telling God "I am having a hard time accepting this person, Lord. Please show me Your way to loving, even when they are unlovable." And of course, He does when I stop and listen to His voice, and words. He always shows me where in that person's life I can show His love and thus my love. Thank you, Jesus and thank you, Don!

I suggest that you just be nice to her. Some of the things that girls like most is humour, kindness, maturity, honesty and brains, don't forget that. I'm a girl; I should know. Remember, crushing doesn't just happen overnight. It might take a while for the girl to like you. Oh yeah, you should also be open with her but not too open. Since you described her as a quiet and shy girl, you have to warm up to her, not be too forward. It might scare her away. Don't be someone you're not; be yourself. If you're not then it'll mess with the whole honesty thing. Good Luck!

Love in the Lord to you, too, Don. You ask the greatest questions. And your good heart toward the Lord shines for all to see. God bless you.

No I don't.

I LOVE YOU BROTHER.

I do feel a little awkward with this.

1 Thessalonians 5:26
Greet all the brethren with an holy kiss.

P.S. I only know one brother who does that.

That's very good to hear. I consider it humbling to be able to do this. This brother was my dads pastor when he was a teen. I don't feel awkward when he has kissed me on the cheek. I have never kissed him or any other brother or sister. I do give hugs often to a lot of people. (Many feel awkward with hugs too.) Most common is a handshake.

No I don't feel strange.
I tell everyone that I love them.
All are Brothers & Sisters In the Lord.
We are told to love everyone, even those who curse and revile us. If we only love those who love us,what reward do we have. Even sinners love other sinners. Blessings Brother Don S

God loves you Don, and so do I.

The Bible tells us that "God is Love" (1 John 4:8).

How does God define Love? There are many passages in the Bible that give us God's definition of love.

The most well known verse is John 3:16, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

God defines love is in the act of giving.

God gave ... not a mere gift-wrapped present.

God sacrificed His only Son so that we, who put our faith in His Son, will not spend eternity separated from Him.

This is absolutely amazing love!!!

Romans 5:8, "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." In this verse and in John 3:16.

God doesn't say, "as soon as you clean up your act, I'll love you; "

Nor does He say, "I'll sacrifice my Son if you promise to love Me."

In fact, in Romans 5:8, we find just the opposite.

He loves us because He IS love.

Hugs to all, in His love, Michael

No. I love you too Don. Jesus commanded us to love others like we love ourselves, even the ones who hate you for His sake. Responding to them is the key to showing the love of God (agape love); that is, bringing out the best or Christ-like in us. When someone gives you a hard time, respond with the positive prayers of blessings in goodwill of their well-being, without expect anything in return. It may be hard on their physical ears, due to unbelief or misplaced resentment, but their spirit and heart can hear and may eventually soften to the call of God's love. This is how God loves us.

God Bless you and your precious family!

I hug everyone I meet just to show them that they are loved.
Not just my contacts, not just people who share my beliefs, but every sentient being.
I find hate to be not only a waste of time, but very harmful. So know that, even if I disagree with any of you on a topic, I love all of you and wish you nothing but happiness.

(((Don))),

The only time I feel awkward is when someone takes it wrong. LOL!

I agree! It is so important to tell people that we love them. With everything else out there... it's doubly important!

Don, dear Christian Brother, I love you too! :-)
