Honestly, I'm an atheist and I think Jesus sounds like an awesome guy. Somebody I wouldn't mind being friends with (if he weren't all against atheists, I mean). I just don't believe he was the son of God, because I believe there is no God. I also agree that all faiths have a right in this world. Especially if those faiths promote tolerance and understanding and love (like most do). But I don't think they have a right to pry into my life and beliefs and then try their hardest to change me. Personally, I don't believe I need to be prayed for, as I truly am a very happy person; I actually prefer the idea that life isn't a test...and I have no need nor want for "eternal life". I also don't like the idea of so many good people possibly going to hell for something trivial. I do appreciate the sentiment, however.

I have only blocked two people - one a poster of Nazi "all non-whites are scum" propaganda, and one a woman who gave a mean answer on the health section to a fellow worried about STDs.
As far as the Nazi goes, debating fascists is a bad tactic. In person, if the police are around, you shout and drown them out. If they aren't, a bop on the head with a stick is a perfectly good response. Online equivalent? Block 'em.
The mean answer about STDs? Hey, it was the HEALTH section. Keep your "morality" or "snappy answers" out of it - the guy was looking for HELP.
I haven't even blocked the people who have sent me right-wing raving e-mails complaining about my atheist and socialist postings. No, not even the psychos who call themselves "Dead Marxist" and "Athiests Ar Dumb" (nice spelling, jerk!). Although I thought about it when DM made borderline threats.
I have even awarded "Best Answer" to someone I didn't agree with. They showed the most thought - my agreement is not a requirement.

I have not blocked anyone.
Even those with blatant untruths as their handle.
Oh, and why ask "atheists and Christians"? You want to exclude Jews, Muslims, Sikhs, pagans, etc?
Or if you want to include everyone, why the qualifier? Why not just "For all open minded and honest people"?
I guess you would exclude yourself from answering this question. Your framing of the question excludes you on the first criteria, and your handle excludes you on the second.
Have a nice day now.

Have not blocked one. You are entitled to your own opinion just like I am and I can not nor will I ever try to stop you from voicing it. I have also given a grand total of three thumbs down because the answerer is blatantly disregarding an answer that shows their point to be in error and yet they post it anyway to perpetuate a lie and propaganda, two Christian answers and one pagan answer.

With all the account deletions these days I'd bet blocking accounts is pretty common. I've blocked a grand total of 3 people for personal threats.

Once I blocked an admitted report troll but later removed that block because I didn't care.

The only people whom I have blocked are the ones who have blocked me first. I figure there's a reason for them not wanting my opinions, so what's to stop them from trolling me in the form of unjustified reporting? I've blocked only 3 people.

I've never blocked anybody. What does that even accomplish? I come here for mature discussion and to learn, and blocking somebody because they happen to have a different viewpoint that I do seems very childish.
