The fear that I might not be successful; that I would be just another loser from this neighborhood. Then, I had my son which, caused me to begin doing great things in my life and helped me grow into a better person. I feel that I am more than successful for so many reasons and I know, for a fact, that more success is to come. This time, financially :)
I also had the fear that I might never want better for myself when I was with my ex boyfriend; a fear that I would never leave him when I knew I needed to. That situation, however, was tough because I only knew deep down that he wasn't what was best for me nor what was best for my son... it was too far in the back of my mind for me to want to do anything about it. He, is now my ex lol. After letting that fear eat at me for so long, it got the best of me and I left him. My son and I deserved better and now, we have better...if that made sense lol. As long as I dont backtrack to those kinds of guys or that undeserving mentality, we will always have better. And I will never backtrack. I love my son too much and I am too intelligent for that now :)
Sorry this was so long and personal lol. In my opinion, it's situations such as these that best defines real fear.
good question!
