WHATEVER the others said, you're bound to Windows 98!! You could install Millenium, but that OS is buggy; besides Microsoft dropped it years ago! Don't do that! XP requires a (much) larger hard disk than the one your computer is equipped with. So, unfortunately, XP will fail to install. Windows 2000 requires 64 Mb RAM; although it is stable, nice and faster than XP, your computer is short on RAM - and 2000 will refuse to install! In case you can't have that larger hard disk, you are bound to Windows 98! REALLY! (It's Windows 98 C the best '98 release which you can buy from e-bay for a couple of bucks.) As for Vista... you'd better stay away for it - even if you will buy a state of the art computer! It's sluggish, resource-wasting, works on prefferencially-selected monitors and is full of intrussion britches; they want to spy our every move with Vista! Really! Don't fall for XP on 64 bits either - or you'll be no longer able to run older applications. There is no upwards compatibility in other words. Your best bet for the next few years is XP-Home / mediacenter - I think.
