I start by thanking God for the blessings he has bestowed on my family and I so we'll buy extra turkeys and give them out.

I make this bacon wrapped turkey with sausage stuffing, always a family favorite , mashed potatoes, yams , but everyone helps.

My husband makes the pies and deserts and my oldest daughter makes green bean casserole, my littlest one will help in any way she can. It's a family affair and I am thankful for my family and the bounty of food the Lord provides us.

I'm also thankful that God has blessed us so abundantly, not with money, but for love of one another.

I give thanks to many things:

My God.
My life.
My wife.
My future child.
My country.
My freedom.
My friends.
My family.
My opportunities.
My friends here in R&S and other online places.

I think the turkey will be baked.

I don't really worry about the turkey being dry even though it rarely comes out that way because I eat the dark meat... yum yum yum... ;-)

Don't forget to thank your god for the death of thousands in the floods of Bangladesh. Or the ongoing famine in Africa. Thank him for the kids maimed by river blindness. Thank him for all the earthquake and flood and volcano victims that he killed.

Most of all be thankful that you were lucky enough to be born in a 1st world country with a better education system and standard of living than you deserve.

Normally I roast a turkey.
