Common ideas are a bible (or whatever your religious affiliation is) or a cross. I saw a wedding on tv where the bridesmaids were each carrying in her something old, something new, borrowed, something blue. Do you have a wedding theme? You could carry an arrangement of seashells.
In some cultures, it is custom for the bride to present the groom with a small package of gold coins. If it is a Renaissance style, you could carry a goblet. Anything metallic really.
A candle is beautiful for a night wedding.
A handkerchief. My cousin had a mix. She had sewn together a scrap of her mothers wedding dress, and a handkerchief from both her grandfathers sewn together and with ribbons of her bridal colors. That was woven through her bouquet. My mother made a pearl flower that we used as a cake topper (buy pearls and crystal at the craft store and some wire).
You really can carry anything you want, but I don't recommend nothing at all b/c you need something to do with your hands so you won't look nervous.

Nothing says you HAVE to carry anything.
Depends on what you want.
You can carry a bouquet of ribbons and bows if you want.
Your bouquet can be made of leggos...
You can simply walk in on your fiances arm.
That's what we did.
It's YOUR wedding, do it YOUR way.

Don't carry anything. Or carry whatever you want. Perhaps a single folower - What I did. Or the first thing your fiance gave you. (stuffed animal, christmas gift, whatever) Do something that means something to you and that will make you smile as you hold it.

Hi. You don't need to carry anything if you don't want to.
What I would suggest...as I LOVE roses...is 1 single rose and a few greens tied with a satin ribbon. Simple, elegant and beautiful!
