Insert Mov Into Powerpoint

Hi

Launchman has the right idea, but if you are using Microsoft Windows instead of a Mac, you'll first have to convert the .mov into a different format. The .avi format is usually cross-platform, but you can use other formats in Windows.

Personally, I find it hard to understand why Microsoft has been negligent in providing better support for common movie file formats on the Windows side of PowerPoint. The Mac version of PowerPoint supports .mov and others not supported by Windows.

The sound doesn't get embedded into PowerPoint - it remains as a link to the audio file.
