Not really the ones I've spoken to, or seen on here, have to many questions for people who say they don't believe, and why are they on here trying to prove a point, they can't prove anything, just as they would say that someone who believes in God can not prove anything, but each to their own, however for those who SAY they don't believe, i think they should keep an open mind, instead of been very closed

I can contradict the 'No atheists in foxholes' line - there have been several occasions when I seriously, genuinely thought I was about to die (Several hundred feet up a rockface and loosing my grip, for example!) and I can say with certainty I did not suddenly find religion! Several thoughts crossed my mind - usually along the lines of 'bugger!'; I thought of my loved ones, got angry with my own stupidity, tried desperately (and successfully) to think of a way out, but at no point did I ever think 'Oh, I'll abruptly start praying to a non-existent cultural construct, that'll help!'

I know a few genuine atheists. BUT, when going out to the Gulf War (and certainly when the Scuds were falling) there were no atheists I came across....some reverted after it was all over.

A theist believes in at least one god. He is not expected to prove gods exist.
I'm not an agnostic, I'm an atheist. An atheist doesn't believe in gods. I'm not expected to prove gods don't exist.
If good evidence is proffered to me establishing that at least one god exists, I will become a theist.

It's always interesting how people say that since no one is 100% certain that there are no gods, atheists are actually agnostic. Aside from changing the definition of atheism, this argument also sets standards that it can't meet. As certain as they are that no human has 100% knowledge, I'm that certain that there is no god.

Thinking that solves a few problems. It makes them feel better about their beliefs, and it makes their theology "fit" better.
