Pat Robertson, Billy Graham and their ilk - are there any among those numbers who could truly be considered good people and good christians? Ones who have not absconded with funds or church secretaries, don't damn entire cities to hell, etc. And ones whose names aren't embroiled in any type of scandal now or in the past.

I think there IS one but I can't remember his name.

Wow! BG is probably the one I was thinking of. I did a simple Wiki on him and there was only one tiny speck of dirt. That's quite impressive! It is nice to see someone living up to their ideals - even if I don't agree with with his beliefs. As for Kirk and his friend, while I personally find them laughable, I don't know that there's any dirt on them either. So far anyway. Hopefully it'll stay that way.

Billy Graham is completely above reproach when it comes to finances in his ministry, and not having dalliances with his staff.

His son Franklin, is cut from the same cloth.

You cannot find either one involved in a scandal.

YES! Kirk Cameron and Ray Comfort from www.wayofthemaster.com

They are wonderful evangelists, they do a lot of street witnessing- and use GOD'S word, which is exactly how we should be sharing the Gospel, the way Jesus did, using His laws to show people they have sinned against God, and why they need Christ's salvation- otherwise people are being saved and don't know what they are being saved from.
Romans 10:17 says "Faith comes from hearing and by hearing the word of God"

Billy Graham too of course has always been a great evangelist who has always been led by God.

A Righteous Believer and God's Evangelist are Satan's ENEMY. The greater Their Impact for God's Kingdom, the Harder he works to stirr Up Frustration, Doubt and Anxiety. The Apostle Paul wrote a Letter to the Ephesian Believers, Warning them that the Devil would SCHEME Against A Successful CHRISTIAN LIFE.

There are lots of good ones out there some are better than others at the message but they won't get mention in the news until there is a scandal.

These are all ministries I like, some better than others and for different reasons.

Thousands, but you will never hear their names.

My Dad happens to be one. I don't agree with his belief system, but he has provided allot of tangible help for the poor and deprived in society. For that I give him all the credit in the world.

By the way, he was kicked out of an established religion for believing that God was real, which shows you exactly where religion is today.

Yep, but they aren't famous. They are the everyday Christian. The ones that live their lives faithfully...but don't beat people over the head with their faith. I can tell you that living your life faithfully and reaping the benefits of a faithful life call people to the faith when they see how happy you are because they want that, too.

If you have an issue with Billy Graham, then you just outright have issues. so I would ask is the messenger? or the message?

Remember,

No one is good.....we are all sinners who fall short. Any true believer in Christ will acknowledge this.

As far as evangelism goes......Billy Graham is still one of the best.

Sidenote:
I got saved through the ministry of the 700 club (Pat Robertson)
