All males are in all male divisions, except for the 9-divisions like musicians and choir and stuff... but most male divisions are paired up with a sister division. Why wouldn't you want to train with the females you're going to be working with when you get to the fleet?

You can not choose which division you want to be in. When I went through boot camp there were a few all male divisions and there were co-ed divisions. The males and females bunked separately in the co-ed divisions, but they also trained together. Sometimes the females went to male berthing for training and visa-versa. My advise, whatever your reason for wanting an all-male division, is don't mention it. You may end up with the wrong RDC who will ride you the whole time because they don't like your reasoning.
Oh and for the person above me...women are treated the exact same way as men!!

I was in an all male division when I went through Navy boot camp three years ago. They said it was very unusual to see an all male division. Chances are you will be a coed division and there is no way to pick and choose. Welcome to the military.

each and all of the divisions DO compete in a variety of educational, military Bearing and activities appropriate activities throughout the time of their 9 weeks of boot camp. 900 divisions are particular ones.. you the two could be hand picked for it, or you audition( Triple threats) 900 divisions are state Flag bearers; Band, choir and rifle group( the aforementioned Triple threats) and a paintings stress branch that are used to in auxiliary roles throughout the time of Boot Camp.
