my mom is very strict she has to have everything her way my dad was fine with me getting the cellphone they just think that im going to drain the account with my cellphone because the last time i borrowed my dads cellphone i ran the phone bill up to 250 for the month but that was becuase they didnt have unlimited instant messaging or text messaging which i have now with my new phone they said they didnt know if they would give me the phone back and i know they deffinatly took the phone away becuase i saw them take it from me and if i tried to take it back they would kick me out of the house and i wouldnt really have anywhere to go so if i pressed charges on them then i would have enough money

If you're seriously asking how to sue your parents, I imagine a cell phone is the least of your family problems.

It sounds like you and your parents have some issues....but to start out I would just talk to them about it first. If you are paying for it and if the phone is actually under your name and you pay the bill every month then they should have never taken it from you, they don't have the authority or right to do that. if they still don't give it back after talking with them, just turn off the service and sign up for a new one...don't waste your time getting a lawyer because they can get pretty expensive, just put that money towards a new phone/plan.
don't sue your parents...that's just not right, talk to them first!! even if you did sue them you probably won't get anything out of it but a bunch of court fees and wasted time....and no you won't get millions

Are you serious! That would be stupid to sue them. You would spend a lot more $$$$ than you most likely have. Use common sense and cancel the service to the phone. Actually, go talk to a lawyer so he can get a good laugh...it will probably make his day.
My guess is that you are not 20 years old. If so, you missed a lot of english in K through 12. Your whole story is one long run-on sentence.

Well first of all do you really want to go at it with your parents I mean I know that they can make ya mad sometimes but come on is there really any need in sueing them? I mean wouldnt it be easier just to confront them about it or just report it stolen and see what happens! I dont know how your family like has been but I mean going to court over a cell phone is kinda crazy. Hope this helps.

U are living with yr parents, as amember of the family.Theyhave takenyr cellphone and not returning to u back.If they accept that they have taken yr cell, than it is not a case of theft. It os the matter of understanding between u and yr parents. They think u are draining money. U think u are paying the bills so that is yrs.Pehaps they want u to understand yr responsiblities. and not to waste money. If u are independent, leave their house and manage yr own affairs. U go to legel action, u will get yr cell backbut u may have to leave the house than.Suing parents is something most stupid thing ,I have ever heard of.

I'm not sure suing your parents is the right thing to do, but you haven't said if they ran up a bunch of charges on your account or how much money it ended up costing you. I would simply close out that phone and move on. It sounds as though your parents might have issues, but I'm not sure a law suit against family is the best way to handle it. Just move on and beware from now on.

Try talking to you parents about it; they can't really take it away if it's yours. Do you still live with them? If so that might make a bit of difference. . Why did they take it away? Anyways, if you want to sue them for it, go get the papers that legally state you are the owner of the cell phone. Find a lawyer and take it to court.

Oh, I suppose you are paying the bills for the cellphone and that you purchased the phone with your own money. If true, you could charge them for theft but I don't think sue them.

why don't you just go into the cellphone company & tell them your cellphone was stolen & you need to get another phone with a new # & have that one shot off. That would take care of the problem & it wouldn't cost you a small fortune to sue your parents.

That would be horrible to have to sue your own parents. Think...did they do it out of concern for you? Is there something that went wrong in your relationship with them somewhere? Are they that hard up? Why would they go to that extreme and are you sure it was them? I would try to talk to them and work it out. You only have one true family and it would be a shame to not have a relationship there anymore..over a cell phone. Hope it works out...good luck to you.
