Thermal fax no prints?

Hi.i use thermal fax machine which does not need ink toner/catridge but recently it produces very faint print-out for my incoming fax, sometimes even blank sheet.anyone know how to rectify this problem. if i fax out, wil the other party receive blank document too?it's been a rather old machine though..tks!

Either the print head has stopped working (the heating element part that turns the paper black) or the paper could be in upside down. Usually the thermal coating is only on one side and if the paper is flipped over it might be really light printing (as only some of the heat can get through the paper).

It may be time for a new one?
