It is ok to be sad. It is understandable to feel depressed. You are at the end of your rope but al least you are smart enough to know that this whole situation is not all about you. You are worth something to someone. Your family loves you. There is something however that cannot let you see everything else. Therapy won’t work if you don’t let it. If that group is not working find another. You KNOW what is wrong. We all do. Pills can make us feel better, therapy allows us to let it out, but no one but ourselves is in control of our destiny. Stop thinking so much and do it. There is so much that can make you happy. Analyze the problem from the root and pull it instead of trimming its branches with pills and easy exits. (No I’m not scientologist… but someone who took pills for 5 years and therapy for much longer). My failures were the impotence to follow my dreams knowing I had all the skills and opportunities, I was afraid to live and that killed me. I even turned to alcoholism. No I’m not happy. But if you start moving forward instead of in circles you will keep you mind busy and let it take in the sights. Enjoy your children. Enjoy your wife. Enjoy your work if you don’t, Why are you there? Take a vacation. Forgive old grudges. If you keep resentment you are only damaging yourself. There are a million ways of trying to find happiness. Believe. It is there for the taking. If you need to talk to someone, pick someone who won’t judge you.

If you are able, take a day or two or three off. Do you have any vacation time left over? Call your therapist to see if you can schedule an emergency appointment. You need to talk out the feeling and rest if you can.

You must want to make it by the fact that ur still alive and asking the question in the first place. Try to think of the good things to look forward to and think how much of a waste it would be to do anything stupid.

Are you on medication? Evidently, it's not working so well. Call your doctor immediately. You sound as though you may be bipolar and need a mood stabilizer and/or antidepressant. Good luck.
