Never. People have different views, opinions and beliefs, and some people take it a bit too seriously when someone doesn't agree with them. There has always been war, and there always will.
Humans are not peaceful by nature.

WThose who hold the Bahai faith do, and I wish them all the luck in the World. They'll need it! This World has never known peace at any time before now. Good reason to believe it never will. Still, striving for peace, as I do with the group Tikkun Olam and the AHA, is still a worthwhile endeavor. Blessed are the Peacemakers like Mandela, Martin Luther King Jr., and Gandhi. Peace is an idea you strive for, but never completely obtain. It's like the Perfect Gas in Chemistry, or the Perfect Solvent or a geometrically perfect circle or cube or the Perfect Conductor in Physics. You strive toward it, but never qet there completely. Still, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that we could be doing a lot better job than we are doing now!
One should not strive for perfection, which is impossible, but rather strive for excellence which is possible!
All intelligent people work for Peace, even if the situation looks hopeless. Albert Einstein is a great example. This brilliant physicist,Jew, and nearly a virtuoso violinist, viewing with horror that his theories had led to the nuclear bomb, worked for disarmament and Peace among nations for the rest of his life.
Einstein's own words are worth hearing [paraphrased]again "Until all the governments are united under a single banner, and any nation that would act aggressively towards another [especially one that would use WMDs] realize that the entire world will respond and wipe it out of existence, we will never know Peace."
Bertrand Russell made an interesting comment that War will cease when War ceases to be profitable!
Why the war in Iraq now? What's the real reason as opposed to the propagandistic reason spoken in the media?. Like a good police detective investigating a crime, just look for a motive, and who profits. Follow the money trail! There, that was easy!
President Eisenhower warned Americans that the Military Industrial complex, if not stripped of power and influence would undermine the freedom of all Americans and pose a dire threat for the entire world. His prediction made shortly after the end of WWII is a pro pos.

No, there is always cause for disagreement. even if there was a utopia something would spark it off, everyone would be in peace and harmony then someone would say 'i like red better' and someone esle would say 'i like blue better' and they'd form a set of ideals and beliefs saying why they think 'red' is the one true colour and the others would do the same for 'blue' and then they would have codes and dogma for worshipping red or blue and would be in constant disagreement about which is right and fight wars about it. Seems silly doesn't it?
Thats how I feel about the constant bickering of religions, it's like petty sibling rivalry.

Given the history, it's safe to bet against mankind. But woman-kind? That's an entirely different story.

Jesus said to his disciples, just before he returned to heaven, "Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you, not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid... These things I have spoken to you that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world." (John 14:27, 16:33)
So, yes, it is possible to know heavenly peace on earth, but people must turn to the Prince of Peace to obtain it!

The Islamofascists don't want peace, so it's not worth dreaming about at this time.
It's best to keep the military strong as a way of bringing about peace. Any liberal ideas other than this are not valid.
Plus, liberals are offended that you've said "mankind" instead of "peoplekind."

I do think it's possible, just not probable.
In the entire recorded history of the earth there are less than 100 years of peace time. That says two things, it says that people aren't as peaceful as they should be, but also that it is possible.

Yes but no time soon. If we just stop fighting and start loving each other then yes the world would be better and could possibly lead to world peace.
