What year and engine would help to get it dialed in? For example a 1996 3/4 ton would be 60 - 66 psi but that might be different for a older vehicle or a six cylinder. Here is a link for specifications and you can put in your own data.

I have found many pumps that will build pressure, but won't be able to deliver the volume. One of the reasons is the fuel screen that is on the inlet is plugged.
I haven't been able to buy new screens separately, but have just thrown them away and run without an inlet screen. This has fixed the problem most times, rather than replacing the pump.

Most motors for trucks that run on gasoline are 55-65 psi. If you want specific info, visit a dealer and ask for a printout of the service manual with that info.

The fuel pump pressure is 42 lb, but you can call a local GM dealership and they will tell you the same. God Bless
