is 88m a dangerous mos in the military

my company is made up mostly of 88ms. We deployed to kirkkuk , iraq september 3 this year and alot of the 88m are going outside the wire on convoys. they are extremely vulnerable to IED's. but they all say they like their mos, not only that they make rank fast. just telling you from my experience.

Every MOS in the military is dangerous.
You are talking about a truck driver, we all know about the roadside bombs in Iraq.
Under normal conditions this MOS is no dangerous than driving to the corner store. Today in Iraq I would think you know the answer.
But if it were my job and I had my health back, I'd be there.

YES! It is a very dangerous mos right now. But almost all jobs in the service are especially now. As of promotions they do pretty well.

Driving makes up 3 of the top 10 most hazardous jobs in the U.S. The reason why it's listed three times is because those categories are divided up into those carrying cargo, those carrying passengers and sales reps.
